Buyer Starts High

By Rhiannon Smith

Interstate interest intensified for 15 Ocean View Avenue, Mooloolaba, as the 4 bedroom home went to Auction with Brent Higgins.

Location on the eastern side of Palm Drive was key and buyers from Sydney and Melbourne also registered to bid.

“In early stages of the campaign, locals based their expectations on sales of the previous six months. Whereas interstate people looked to the future and were more reflective of where the market is heading. With 5 registered bidders, the Melbourne buyer opened the bidding at $600,000, a figure others were hoping the property would sell for”, Brent said.

Head-to-head bidding rose as a local buyer competed for the renovated residence. At $645,000, instructions on terms were sought, but with an increased big to $660,000 the property sold to the Melbourne buyers, who were looking forward to move to the Sunshine Coast.
