Bloomhill Christmas Spirit

By Brent Higgins

This festive season Ray White  Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Buderim and Mountain Creek offices joined forces with local charity, Bloomhill Cancer Help, to help spread much needed joy to cancer patients and their families.

Internally, each office ran a drive inviting staff members to fill a box with luxury items. The idea being that these are the first items many go without when faced with  huge medical expenses. This goes hand in hand with the Bloomhill motto- helping people live well with cancer.

In addition to this, each company donated an extra $200 of Ray White Eftpos cards – a combined total of $800. These eftpos cards will be distributed to Bloomhill clients to be used for items such as petrol and other expenses they incur as part of their treatment.
Bloomhill offers immediate emotional support for any person going through the crisis of being diagnosed with cancer. This help extends to include family members and their carers from time of diagnosis.

Bloomhill focuses on the emotional and practical needs of people diagnosed with cancer and others with a life threatening illness and provides leading edge psychosocial care to patients, their carers, other family members and their friends. The care given focuses on survival and quality of life.

Bloomhill is self funded, relying upon local support. Funding comes from the operation of local Op-Shops and from community and business donations. All money is raised and distributed on the Sunshine Coast.

We are so proud to be involved in aiding this fantastic initiative. There are many ways to get involved with the great work of Bloomhill, simply visit Bloomhill-Get Involvedfor further information.
