Minyama

Minyama is a luxury canal suburb located behind Mooloolaba Beach. It is extremely well positioned – not only is it close to Mooloolaba, but it also has easy access to the rest of the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane due to its proximity to the Sunshine Motorway.

The houses in Minyama are surrounded by water, with a large number of streets consisting entirely of waterfront blocks. Some Minyama homes are even situated on individual islands linked to the main canal development. Both Minyama Island and Mooloolah Island offer some of the most expensive real estate on the Sunshine Coast.

In Minyama there are also some high-density dwellings and a number of unit complexes have been constructed over the last few years. Sunshine Plaza is approximately 15 minutes away, with Kawana Shopping Centre located in neighbouring Buddina. Community facilities such as primary and high schools, the Cooloola Sunshine Institute of TAFE and the University of the Sunshine Coast are also close by.

Shopping

Kawana Shopping World
The centre opened in 1979 and was the first shopping centre to open on the Sunshine Coast. The centre has since undergone refurbishments, the most recent in 2014, in which a new food court was developed.
