Buddina

Buddina is a beach side community with a good mix of residential property including low-set brick and tile homes, building units, prestige beach front properties with ocean views or located on the waterfront in the canal development shared with the neighbouring suburb of Minyama.

As a small coastal suburb there is only a handful of vacant land left. Buddina residents are well catered for with the second largest shopping complex on the Sunshine Coast, Kawana Shoppingworld located in the centre. Residents also find Buddina Primary school and the Kawana Waters Surf Life Saving Club at Buddina Beach very handy.

The beaches, parklands and esplanade of Buddina are popular attractions for local residents and visitors to the Sunshine Coast. Buddina Beach runs the full length of the suburb and is the northern part of the 10km beach that extends from Point Cartwright to Currumundi Beach in the south. Point Cartwright is located at the mouth of the Mooloolaba River and includes a man-made rock wall. A small secluded beach on the other side of Beacon Lighthouse reserve at Point Cartwright offers a great fishing spot and sensational surfing offering a sometimes heavy right hand break. An off-the leash dog area, showers and toilets can also be found at Point Cartwright.
